Quarterfinal line up has been drawn in the inter-college men’s Kabaddi tournament with GDC Rajouri, GDC Samba, GDC Hiranagar, GDC Ramban, MAM College and GDC Poonch winning their respective matches in the inter-college competitions of University of Jammu (JU) underway on the campus, here today.
Now, the teams shall compete for the semifinals berth tomorrow at the indoor arena established by the JU at its Gymnasium.
The Results: Pre-quarterfinals: GDC, Samba beat GDC Paloura 38-22; GDC Hiranagar beat GDC Khour 57-37; GDC RS Pura beat GDC Khilotrain 53-47; GDC Ramban beat GDC Kathua 27-25; PG Department beat GDC Bhaderwah 23-22; Government MAM College beat Trikuta Degree College 34-16; GDC Poonch beat GDC Thanamandi 40-10; GDC Rajouri beat GDC Akhnoor 25-21.
The matches officiated by the technical penal comprising Ajay Gupta, Anil Sharma, Dheeraj Sharma, Keshav Singh, Amandeep Singh and Gagan Kumar.
VOLLEYBALL: Pre-quarterfinals: GDC Hiranagar beat GDC Akhnoor 2-0; GDC Bhaderwah beat GDC Ramban 2-0; GDC Kathua beat GDC Khour 2-0; PG Departments beat GDC Reasi 2-0; GDC Samba beat GDC Paloura 2-0; GGM Science College beat MAM College 2-0; GDC RS Pura beat GDC Gool 2-0; GDC Udhampur beat GDC Bishnah 2-1.
The technical penal in these matches comprised Manik Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Amit Sharma, Amarjit Singh, Mulkhraj, Abneet Sharma and Vikas Karlopia.
TABLE TENNIS: In men’s table tennis competitions, the winning teams in both men and women sections today qualified for the semifinals at the Gymnasium Hall on the JU Campus.
The Results: Women: GCW Udhampur beat ASCOMS 3-2; PG Department beat GDC Udhampur 3-0. Men: GCET beat GMC Jammu 3-1; MBS beat YECT 3-2; GDC Udhampur beat SPMR Commerce 3-2; PG Department beat GDC Ramnagar 3-2. The matches officiated by the technical penal including
