“Gen Zorawar Singh Trust celebrated Maharaja Hari Singh 125th Birth Anniversary”

On the Occasion of Maharaja Hari Singh’s 125th Birth Anniversary, General Zorawar Singh Memorial Education & Charitable Trust collaboration with Aahmi Punekar NGO Pune organized an Event named “DOGREY DI SHAAN BAKHRI-DOGREY DI PADGI” in Orphanage at Amphalla, Jammu. FIRST TIME IN JAMMU this type of event organized in Jammu Province in the sweet memory of His Highness Maharaja Hari Singh ji on his 125th birth anniversary.
During this Event, students of Orphanage were made aware of our Dogra culture in which different programmes were presented by the students of Orphanage. The function was started with the enchanting of Sanskrit shloaks which spread positivity in the ambience. Dogra turban binding were taught to the students and Youth presented over there by Manish Singh Jamwal (Youngest Turban Expert).
Chairman Devinder Singh Kaluria accompanied by Ashok Verma Chairman NYBGO, Sandhya Gupta Chairperson Women Meri Pehchan along with other guests paid rich tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh & honoured Manish Singh Jamwal, Youngest Turban Expert to keep our Dogra culture alive by doing these type of Social Activities.
Speaking on the Occasion, Miss Riya Kaluria Trustee of that Trust threw light over the life history of Maharaja Hari Singh for their social reforms & also on General Zorawar Singh, how he conquered & established Dogra rule in Jammu region and Forts in Leh-Ladakh region.
President of Orphanage Satyapal Gupta congratulated chairman Devinder Singh and his wife Sushma Kaluria who belongs to 5th generation of General Zorawar Singh & also appreciated the efforts of Diksha Kaluria & Riya Kaluria, 6th generation of the same for this great initiative among our Dogra Culture.
Later Diksha Kaluria Gen. Secy GZS Trust thanked all the Guests to attend the function & assure them that in future she would continue her social activities in Jammu through the trust. She also urged the Governor Satya Pal Malik to declare Gazetted holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh on 23 September 2019.
On this occasion Staff of Orphanage, Harsh Mahajan Gen Secy Human Rights, Brij Mehra, Rajesh Raina, Kripal Singh, Shavinder Singh, Manjula Jamwal, Amit Katoch, Sandhya Rana, Raj Sharma, Anup Bandral, Abhishek & others were also present. The Event hosted by Pallavi Jamwal.
