The NSS Units of Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College, Jammu, in collaboration with the Brahma Kumaris Sanstha, NCORD Committee, Red Ribbon Club, and the Zoology Department, organized a mega “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of drug addiction.
The campaign, inaugurated by Principal Prof. Romesh Kumar Gupta, brought together over 200 students, faculty, and collaborating organizations to address the growing menace of substance abuse. Prof. Gupta highlighted the critical role of educational institutions in fostering a drug-free society and called for collective efforts to protect youth from addiction.
The event featured a motivational session by the Brahma Kumaris, emphasizing spiritual and mental strategies to combat addiction.
A powerful video screening and discussions by the Zoology Department and Red Ribbon Club provided scientific and public health perspectives on the issue, deeply resonating with the audience. Students actively participated, sharing insights, raising questions, and taking a pledge to support the fight against drug abuse in their communities. The initiative underscored GGM Science College’s commitment to shaping a socially aware and responsible generation.
