The Inter-College Badminton Tournament for the 2024-2025 session concluded with exhilarating performances, showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship. The tournament was held at the University of Jammu and was organized under the expert guidance of Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education & Sports, Cluster University of Jammu, and supervised by Smt. Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director, Govt. MAM College, Jammu. GGM Science College emerged as champions in the Men’s category, while Govt. SPMR College of Commerce clinched the title in the Women’s category. Principal of GGM Science College Prof. (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta, along with Dr. Lekh Raj and Dr. Ashaq Hussain, congratulated the players and extended praise to Dr. Vinod Bakshi and Dr. Sunil Dutt, Convener of Sports, for their leadership and commitment to this grand success. Dr. Gupta further added that this Inter-College Badminton Tournament will be remembered as a remarkable celebration of talent, dedication, and sportsmanship, leaving the participants and spectators with unforgettable memories and anticipation for the upcoming tournaments. The tournament attracted esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Mandeep Singh, Sh. P.D. Singh, Sh. Jai Bharat, Sh. Ravi Kumar (Physical Director, Govt. SPMR College of Commerce), Sh. Ramandeep Karalia (Physical Director, GCOE Jammu), Miss Kajal Premi (Physical Director, GCW Gandhi Nagar), Smt. Neelam Chalotra (Assistant Physical Director, Govt. MAM College), and Smt. Neelam Devi. Matches were officiated by a skilled team of referees, including Sh. Sanjay Khajuria, Miss Gurdeepika Kour, Miss Shefali, and Sh. Devinder Singh, ensuring fair play and a professional atmosphere throughout the competition.
