JAMMU, Sept 18:
Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Mandal clinched the girls’ under-19 Tug of War title beating GHSS Miran Sahib 2-0 in the final of the inter-school district level competitions of Jammu held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Green Fields ground, here today.
Earlier, in the semifinal, GHSS Miran Sahib defeated GHSS Satwari 2-0 and GHSS Mandal defeated GHSS Canal Road 2-0.
Meanwhile, in under-19 boys’ title clash, GHSS R S Pura emerged winner beating JK Police Public School Miran Sahib 2-1. Semifinals: GHSS R S Pura beat NGM HSS Miran Sahib 2-0; JK Public School Miran Sahib bt Unique Public HSS Gadigarh 2-0.
SOFTBALL: Meanwhile, in inter-district divisional level under-19 boys’ Softball competition, district Jammu emerged winner beating district Kathua 18-10. The under-17 boys’ title went to Kathua, who beat district Jammu 8-6 in the final.
