Give Befitting Response to Pakistan to ensure safety of Border Residents- Congress

Expressing grave concern about the overall situation, JKPCC has said that a war like situation prevails along international border and LOC due to intense shelling by Pakistan during the past couple of days, least caring for holy month of Ramzan, while the state and Centre Govt. have utterly failed to deal with the grim situation especially to ensure adequate safety, security, required relief measures for the affective people, as over 50 thousands of people had to run for safety on their own, in the absence of any such standby provision by the government for their shifting and relocation in advance.
Time has come to give befitting response to Pakistan to silence guns on borders and ensure safety of the border residents, who are facing the brunt of Pakistan’s hostility and heavy shelling day in and day out especially for the last around four years and have suffered huge losses in terms of human lives, live stock, properties and schooling of their children besides getting physically handicapped in the record number of ceasefire violations in this recent years.
A team of senior leaders today visited various borders areas including Vice-President PCC and former Minister Shri Raman Bhalla, Ex-MP Madan Lal Sharma, Former Minister R.S. Chib, and General secretary S. Manjit Singh, Ex-Minister Ch. Gharu Ram, Ex-MLA Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, besides Local Leaders including S. Ravinder Singh, Ch. Mohan Lal of Border areas visited different shelling affected areas to take stock of the situation and meet the affected population besides personally condoling the death of civilians in Pak firing at R.S.Pura & Benglad (Samba) and shared the grief on behalf of entire rank and file of the party.
