GMS Bhure Chak win U-14 boys’ Kabaddi title

JAMMU, May 02:
Government Middle School (GMS) Bhure Chak bagged the under-14 boys’ Kabaddi title in the inter-school competitions of Satwari Zone held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at GHS Satwari Cantonment grounds, here today.
The competition in different disciplines took place under the guidance of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Satwari, Poonam Kotwal and under the overall supervision of district officer (DYSS), Chanchal Kour.
KABADDI: The boys Kabaddi under-14 title went to Government Middle School Bhure Chak, who beat Wazir Janki Nath Public School by a margin of 11 points. Meanwhile, the under-14 boys final won by Government Boys High School (GBHS) Jammu Cantonment, who beat GHSS Mandal by 10 points. Earlier, in the semifinals, GBHS Jammu Cantonment beat GHS Sher Garh by eight points and GHSS Mandal beat GHS Sure Chak by 10 points.
KHO-KHO: The boys Kho-Kho under-17 final won by GHSS Mandal, who beat GHSS Sher Garh by six points. VOLLEYBALL: The boys’ under-14 volleyball final won by People Academy beating JK Public School 2-0. Similarly, in under-17 category, the title went to Shiksha Niketan HSS, who beat JK Public School in straight sets. Semifinals: Shiksha Niketan HSS beat People Academy 2-1; JK Public School beat GHSS Mandal 2-0. The matches officiated by the technical penal including Hardev Singh, Ravinder Singh, Gurbachan, Gurpreet Kour, Harwinder Singh, Vishal, Harpreet Kour, Jasvinder, Gourav, Dinesh and Kanchan Bala.
