Goa FC wins 2nd Division League tie

Goa Football Club defeated Lone Star Kashmir Football Club 2-0 in the third match of the 2nd Division Football League, organised by J&K Football Association in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board at Sports Stadium, Katra today.
Both the goals came in the later stages of the competition. The first goal came through Hayden in the 76th minute, followed by another goal netted by Aaren in the 84th minute.
Playing home matches, Lone Star got a couple of opportunities to score the goal but skipper, Gagandeep Singh missed the chances came his way.
In today’s match, Additional Chief Executive Officers of the Shrine Board, Vivek Verma was chief guest in today’s match while Deputy CEO, Dr. Arvind Karwani and Director Sports, Ashok Kumar were guests of honour.
Among others present were Nazir Bhat (vice president JKFA), Fayaz Ahmed Sofi, Javed Khan, Rajesh Sharma and Rahul Bakshi.
Now, in their next outing, Lone Star Kashmir shall take on Ahmabadab Ara Club on April six at the same venue.
