The majestic Sangha Auditorium resonated with joy and pride as Army Public School, Akhnoor, celebrated its Annual Day, ‘Swarnim Prakaashtha.’ This marked the grand culmination of a year-long series of events to commemorate the school’s Golden Jubilee. The occasion captured five decades of excellence in education, inspiring reflection on a glorious past and hope for a brighter future.
The event was graced by Maj Gen Sameer Srivastava, Patron of the school and Mrs Meena Srivastava, Chairperson, Family Welfare Organisation, Cross Sword Division, whose distinguished presence added prestige to the celebration. The program opened on a spiritual note with a divine Vandana performed by the students, creating a serene and auspicious atmosphere.
The Principal, Mrs Geeta Sharma, presented the Annual Report, skilfully outlining the school’s outstanding achievements in academics, co-curricular activities and social initiatives. With heartfelt gratitude, she acknowledged the collective efforts of the students, staff and parents in driving the school’s success and urged everyone to strive for even greater milestones in the years to come.
The event also featured a vibrant cultural program, showcasing the creativity and talent of the students. Enthralling dances, soulful music and thought-provoking skits left the audience in awe, with each performance reflecting the essence of ‘Swarnim Prakaashtha’ and the school’s cherished values.
A highlight of the day was the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where outstanding achievers were felicitated for their exemplary contributions across various domains.
The unveiling of the Golden Jubilee Coffee Table Book added nostalgia to the occasion. The beautifully curated compilation of memories, achievements and milestones was a fitting tribute to the school’s illustrious journey over the past 50 years.
