Carrying forward the campaign for the Parliamentary elections in Reasi district, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister lambasted the successive State governments of ignoring the remote areas of Reasi where people were still living in the primitive conditions. “People should genuinely differentiate between parties that stand solely for power and those sincerely fighting for the cause of the public. Panthers party is your lone voice which has emerged as a reckoning force of Jammu region”, Harsh asserted. He addressed series of public meetings while passing through markets of Gool, Gulabhgarh, Arnas, Mahore, Salal, Jansalan and Sangaldan areas of Reasi segment in Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency today.
While addressing the gatherings, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh regretted that despite the tall sloganeering of various political parties during elections none of the promises made by them had been redeemed after they assumed power. “Having been cheated by the traditional political parties for the last seven decades, the people of these areas were fast losing faith in the political system. The political houses including the BJP made lofty promises and assured doles to the people, which turned into mere hyperbole and nothing else. ‘Achey Din’ seemed to be out of reach of the people who were cheated and betrayed by the Saffron party”, Harsh regretted. He said that BJP had shown false dreams to the people and after garnering votes never bothered to address their grievances. He maintained that time has come for the people to dislodge all those parties who had played with the sentiments of the gullible masses and sought support for Panthers party which was well versed with their revulsion and anger.
Castigating the previous regimes and BJP in particular for ignoring the far flung areas of Reasi district, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that hinterlands like Gool, Gulabhgarh and Mahore were the worst victims of govt apathy. Deeply shocked over the pitiful condition of the areas, he said that people were surviving on a primitive life style. “The development in the remote hamlets has not seen light of the day. The funds allocated for these areas were swindled by the corrupt politicians and the bureaucrats. The benefits of all the centrally sponsored schemes like MGNREGA which otherwise trumpeted with big fanfare were not percolated to the grass root level. People are still facing hardships and other miseries. The roads are lying in a dilapidated condition with pot holes everywhere. There is a shortage of water and power supply and dearth of health care facilities. The locals are forced to live at mercy of God. What happened to the Saffron slogan of ‘Sabka saath, Sabka vikas’? What happened to the Modi’s model village scheme?”, anguished Harsh asked.
He further rued that the local youth were facing unemployment and children were kept deprived of basic school education. “Wake up or it will be too late. Ask your conscience who is your well wisher. We have been fighting for your rights from roads to the Supreme court .Give us chance and we will provide you the justice and an opportunity to live with pride and honour. Support Panthers in the Lok Sabha elections to empower yourself”, Harsh appealed to the people.
