Seeking immediate arrest of all those corrupt Ministers, MLAs and bureaucrats who are allegedly involved in the biggest ever ‘Appointment scam’ in the State, scores of Panther activists spearheaded by Mr. Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP, Mr. Yashpaul Kundal State President Young Panthers and other leaders staged a thundering protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground Jammu today.
While setting ablaze the effigy of ominous BJP-PDP combine, the infuriated protesters raised slogans against the erstwhile coalition government.
Withstanding the predicament of the meritorious youth who were feeling shell shocked by the sensational expose’ of the Governor on National media, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that Panthers Party which emerged as a sole voice of the Dogras in the last four years had been opposing and exposing the large scale irregular appointments made in almost all the government departments.
He said that the stunning disclosures by the constitutional head of the State had corroborated the genuineness of the vigorous protests staged by the party since the formation of the ‘dirty alliance’.
Lampooning the erstwhile government for treating the employees and the youth of the State as mere ‘cash cows’, he said that the emergence of RGIC health insurance scam, the Pakul Dul Hydro Power project scam, the replacement of entire select list of J&K Bank by 582 political appointees on monetary considerations besides the LC appointments in a brazen defiance of court orders only described that how far the tentacles of corruption had engulfed the entire system to render it “sick” in the previous regime.
Reminding the Governor, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that mere statements and disclosures pertaining to the corrupt deeds of erstwhile BJP-PDP rule without punishing the criminals would be meaningless. “You have to take punitive action against all those politicians and officers in league who had abused their authorities by interfering in selections made by PSC, SSB and other recruiting agencies by violating the rules and guidelines. You should personally intervene to unfold the records to look into the huge scams and large scale irregularities committed in all the departments including PDD, Health, Forests, Education, PHE, PWD, Industries besides others. You will be shocked to know that nepotism, loot and plunder were all time high and obliterated all past records during the previous government”, dismayed Harsh submitted.
