Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu organized Spring Tree Talk interaction get Together to mark International Women’s Day .490th Tree Talk with focus on AYUSH use of plant drug development, better healthcare & nutrition through promotion of traditional plant derived foods, sustainable use of Biodiversify as per Indian Biodiversity Act 2002,sustainable development ,UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and strategies to achieve 17 SDG goals by building partnerships and action at grass root level was organised in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family and Tree Talk crusader Dr. O P Sharma IFS Director Ecology Environment & Remote sensing J&K.
While sharing inputs on UN Sustainable Development Goals ,Padam S P Verma President GGF J&K Branch focused on agenda point 5 on gender equality ,agenda points 13,14,15 on climate change,Life under water ,Life on land and applauded impact of Tree Talk initiative in generating grass root awareness on environment & Biodiversity in J&K. Dr. O P Sharma IFS Tree Talk founder highlighted on rural innovations ,ecofriendly forest products ,scope for value addition ,safe waste disposal on municipal waste, need to phase out agrochemicals & plastic bags and safe disposal of hazardous medical waste to protect ecology of waterbodies ,lakes and forest peripheral villages.
Dr Taran Singh Medical Supreintendant Govt Ayurvedic Hospital highlighted drug formulation in ayurveda with focus on conservation & multiplication of Vriht ,Laghu Dashmool plants like Gahamari,Shyonaka,Agnimantha ,Kantkari,Gokhru,Prashniparni,Shalparni etc.He emphasized need of field identification familiarity by Ayurvedic doctors & practioners.
He disclosed that shortly Dhanvantri Padap kunj will be developed in Govt Ayurvedic Hospital. Drs. Charu Khajuria, Ruchi Gupta, Nida Fatima and Prakriti Sharma honoured on the occasion by GGF Early in the morning Women Morning walkers numbering 40 participated in the Tree Talk with focus on sacred religious & medicinal trees like Maulsari, Khejri, Neem,Curry patta, Bel,Sahijan,Goolar, Kachnar ,Arjun,Bahera,Amla & Harad .Dr Taran Singh highlighted during the interactive session.
