The ongoing agitation of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA) entered 113th day while chain hunger strike entered 86th day in support of their demands to constitute a public board for all temples under Dharmarth Trust.
Striking employees on Thursday organised a protest amidst chanting Vedic Mantras.
Speaking on the occasion, Spokesperson of the association, Rajinder Shastri strongly alleged that trusty appointing their own choice persons in the Trust on key posts who misguide the trustee and unable to show real picture as they making money through misdeeds of the trust property which results trust has suffered by financial loss.
The officials appointed by the trustee, he alleged, always harassed poor and low paid employees who paid very meager salary between Rs 3000 to Rs 8000 whereas these official get higher pay from Rs 25000 to Rs 60000 per month and other benefits also.
He appealed to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene in the matter and resolve the demands of the employees of merging all temples under Dharmarth Trust with SMVDSB which was the part of Dharmarth Trust prior to 1986.
Meanwhile a delegation of DTEA led by President Vivek Bandral met President of Chamber of Commerce and Industries Jammu Arun Gupta and gave him memorandum. They also discussed various misdeeds of Dharmarth Trust management including misuse of funds, land and property. The team of Chamber of Commerce gave full support to the employees.
Vivek Bandral informed that employees on Wednesday to take out protest rally.
The persons who sit on hunger strike today include Shiva, Vinod, Rajat Dadwal, B.P Singh, Balwant, Pt. Shottu Ram, Parma, Faquir Chand,. Mohan Lal and Bablu Singh.
