Financial Inclusion& Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Sh.Janak Raj Anguraland in collaboration with NABARD organized thirteenvillage levelprogrammes through branch offices Parnalla, Jakhbar, Mandli, Chadwal, Changran, Hatli, Palli More , Ramgarh, Kathua, Solki, Bajabain, Bhawani & Bagnoti under district Kathua, Rajouri & Samba. With the culmination of these camps, J&K Grameen Bank concluded the annual project of conducting 300 Village Level Programmes in remote and unbanked villages covering every nook and corner of the state.
Devinder Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch village Parnalla, being Chief Guest on the occasion talked in brief about various social security schemes like APY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, etc. and the positive change these have brought in our day to day lives.He stressed upon availing these schemes by those who have yet not enrolled under these schemes. He also highlighted the benefits of digital banking and cash less economy.
Jagat Singh, Branch Manager Parnalla, J&K Grameen Bankduringthe camp held at unbanked village Parnalla,welcomed the gathering and impressed upon them to make best use of available banking services in accordance to their need and requirement.
He assured of the full cooperation and support from Grameen Bank for a remarkable turnaround in the rural economy. Besides talking over major social security schemes, he also spread awareness about various types of fraudulent activities prevalent in the market to dupe innocent people of their hard earned monies. He narrated various incidents of frauds including ATM frauds and the mechanism of such frauds so as to make the gathering well educated about such nefarious activities.
He encouraged the gathering to approach the Grameen bank and avail hassle free and reasonable loans under various schemes like KCC, PMEGP, etc. for their overall growth & development.He said that the bank will make all possible efforts to ensure that each and every family of the state is covered under financial inclusion initiative, thereby, leading them to the path of development and prosperity.
Representatives of Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Education, NRLMalsoattended the programmebesides the huge gathering of students and farmers of the villages.
Other Branch Heads at their respective locations spread the message of financial literacy and awareness among the population of remote villages. The participation in these programmes was in hundreds in each case.
The staff members of all these Branches handled the queries of the unbanked people and provided them the comprehensive financial solutions related to deposits, loans and other services like internet, mobile banking.
They enlightened people and students about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bankcheques, Use of POS Machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, and Aadhaar based transactions etc. They stressed for availing benefits of bank schemes available in a hassle free manner and presented the vote of thanks.
