Kendriya Vidyalaya Jourian marked the 62nd Foundation Day of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) with grandeur and enthusiasm. The celebration featured a variety of cultural performances by the students, making the event vibrant and memorable.Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the school, Dr. Harish Kumar, highlighted the illustrious journey of KVS since its inception in 1963. He informed the audience that KVS currently administers 1,256 schools across India, including three overseas, which cater to the educational needs of Indian Embassy staff and expatriate Indian children.Dr. Kumar elaborated on the primary objectives of KVS, which include providing a uniform and quality education to children of transferable central government employees, particularly those serving in the defense and paramilitary forces. He also emphasized the role of KVS in promoting innovation in the field of education, in collaboration with national organizations like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Additionally, KVS strives to foster a sense of national unity and pride in Indian heritage among students.The Principal expressed his gratitude to the Government of India for its decision to establish 85 new Kendriya Vidyalayas, which will further strengthen the organization’s mission of delivering excellence in education.The celebration concluded with a reaffirmation of KVS’s commitment to its core values and objectives, leaving the attendees inspired and proud of the organization’s legacy.
