Grand Felicitation Ceremony Held at GPJ for Winners of Grand Techne Competition 2025 organised by BFGI

A grand felicitation ceremony was organized in the auditorium of Government Polytechnic Jammu to honour the winners of the prestigious Grand Techne Competition 2025, organised by Baba Farid Group of Institutions along with academic toppers from Government Boys Polytechnic Jammu, Government Women Polytechnic Jammu, and NITS Polytechnic. The event was graced by several distinguished dignitaries. O.P. Bhagat, Director, Skill Development Department, Jammu & Kashmir, presided over the function as the Chief Guest. Dr. M.P. Poonia, Former Vice Chairman of AICTE and Campus Director of Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI), was the Guest Speaker and Guest of Honour. Suket Gupta, Secretary, JKBOTE, attended as the Special Guest. Also present on the occasion were Kuldeep Singh Bhatia, Registrar JKBOTE; Reeta Kundal, Deputy Registrar; Talat Mahmood, Principal of the host college; Amandeep Singh, Dean BFGI; and Gaurav Singh, Deputy Dean BFGI. In his keynote address, Dr. Poonia delivered a powerful and motivational talk on “Youth Empowerment through Affordable, Quality Education and Employment.” He encouraged students to develop their skills, pursue innovation, and contribute to building a self-reliant and progressive India. Chief Guest O.P. Bhagat appreciated the dynamic participation of students and lauded Baba Farid Group of Institutions for organizing the Grand Techne Competition, emphasizing the critical role of such initiatives in fostering creativity, technical aptitude, and innovation. Principal Talat Mahmood, in his welcome address, reiterated the institution’s dedication to promoting holistic development and skill-based learning through events that bridge the gap between theory and practice. The ceremony showcased the exceptional talent of students across multiple competitions. In the IC Engine Assembly & Disassembly, the Automobile Department of Government Polytechnic Jammu emerged victorious, with the Mechanical Department of NITS Polytechnic as runner-up. In the Hackathon, Government Polytechnic Jammu claimed the top spot, while NITS Polytechnic was runner-up. The Circuit Designing competition was won by the Instrumentation & Control Department of Government Polytechnic Jammu, with Government Women Polytechnic Jammu securing second place. In AutoCAD Designing, Vaidehi Charak from the Mechanical Branch of GPJ took first prize, and Vinay Dogra of NITS Polytechnic was the runner-up.
