While demanding stern action against land grabbers in Jammu who are trying to grab the land forcefully which is being allotted by the government to poor gujjars. Gujjar Bakarwal Desh Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Jammu President Mr Choudhary Nazakat Khatana held a protest at Jammu regarding the torture and harassment of one land Grabber who is presently residing at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. He further alleged that one person namely Sonu Jamil Ahmed is trying to grab the land which is under possession of poor gujjars of Nikki Tawi, Gujjar Basti, Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. Khatana said that these poor Gujjars were hit by a fire incident in the 2009 at Nikki Tawi, Gujjar Basti, Bhagawati Nagar Khas. In this fire incident about 31 families were affected and then the govt. settled them at the above Khasra No. 294. After that these people constructed their Kholas, cosheds and other structure for day to day living.
He further alleged that Jamil Ahmed S/o Saif Choudhary R/o Ghandi Nagar Jammu is acting like a land grabber and is harassing these people in one way or other to occupy the land forcefully.
He further alleged that Jamil Ahmed is hand in glove with concerned police of the area and is trying to grab the land forcefully with the active support of the concerned police.
