BJP senior leader and former MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta was the chief guest in a function at Gurdwara Bikram Singh at Bikram Chowk today.
The programme was organised to distribute prizes among the meritorious student of the area. Rajesh Gupta upon arrival sought the blessings of the Guru Darbar for the peace and progress of the state and the country. Prizes were distributed among the meritorious students of the area who had excelled in their studies.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the occasion congratulated the meritorious students and their parents for excelling in their studies. Rajesh Gupta added that India is moving towards becoming knowledge economy and the importance of quality technical education is of paramount importance for the growth and progress of the nation.
Rajesh Gupta said that our children have excelled in the software industry and as a result India is a world leader in the software export to advanced countries like US and Europe. Rajesh Gupta added that due to the thrust on education our scientists are doing so well in space technology and India has become one of the leaders in sending satellites in the space. On the occasion Rajesh Gupta exhorted the meritorious students to become entrepreneurs and start their own hi tech businesses under the Start Up India programme of our Prime Minister Narinder Bhai Modi.
