MLA Jammu East former MLA Rajesh Gupta inaugurated the lift at Nek Chand Memorial Hall Jain Sabha. JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and Deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma along with councillors Anil Masoom, Sunita Koul and Gopal Gupta were present on the occasion.
The total cost of the lift is rupees 21 lakhs and the fund has been provided by the former MLA Rajesh Gupta from his CDF.
The JMC officials who accompanied the MLA included Xen Arun Gupta, AEE Anil Gupta and JE Sanjay Raina.The President of the Shwetambar Jain Sabha Pankaj Jain ,General Secretary Sandeep Sunny Jain, VP Rajeev Jain, Secretary Sanjay Jain, Treasurar Sudhir Jain,Ch.Rajkumar Jain,Ch.Parjan Jain, Bansi Lal Jain, Rompi Jain, Guninder Litti Jain, Giat Nandan Jain, Jenender Jain, Virender Babi Jain, Neelam Jain, Shashi Jain, Neelu Jain and Monika Jain were present on the occasion to welcome the guests.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that Jain community is the pride of Jammu and their contributions in the development of Jammu are immense.Rajesh Gupta eulogised the value based conduct of the Jain community and said that they are most disciplined and believe in non violence.
Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that our only motto is the development of the Jammu city and we are guided by the mantra of sab ka saath sab ka vikaas. He further added that in the coming days we are going to prepare a blue print for the comprehensive development of the Jammu city and JMC is going to play a key role in this.
Deputy Mayor Purnima Sharma while speaking on the occasion said ever since the new body has taken over there is a perceptible change in the overall functioning of the JMC.
