Guru Nanak Sewa Charitable Trust along with Guru Nanak International Kirtan Council is celebrating the World Turban Day on April 13, 2019. On the occasion a Grand Dastar Mukabla is being organised at Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, Jammu on April 13, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm in which a large number of devotees /volunteers are expected to participate beyond the age limit.
World Turban Day aims to propagate awareness about the importance-of the turban for the Sikh community and the requirement to tie the turban as mandated for Sikhs by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Guru Nanak- Sewa Charitable Trust along with Guru Nanak International Kirtan Council appeals to the devotees that they shall attend the said event and shall, insist their children to participate in the event.
Every participant will be honoured with a Certificate and Medal. In the event various Gatka Akharas Members from Jammu & Kashmir shall display and teach the art of tying Turban .
