Under the initiative, a branded truck is travelling through prominent locations in these states, halting at main hubs, such as trucking centres, dhabas and other strategic stop points. The drive that was flagged-off from New Delhi last month will engage with the transporters in Manali, Leh, Kargil, Srinagar, Pathankot, Jalandhar and Ludhiana enroute. It will return back to Delhi on July 15.

Sanjeev Sharma, GM Fleet Management, JK Tyre & Industries Limited said, “Being a responsible corporate, we are committed to the well-being of the transporters, who are lifelines of the business community, infrastructure sector and many others. It is our constant endeavour to understand the requirements of our key customer segment. We are conducting this pioneer campaign in the North Indian belt and we will definitely consider taking it to other parts of the country.”

Meanwhile the truck will also carry groceries and vegetables which would be distributed at remote places and villages en-route to Ladakh.
