In a major break through Gandhi Nagar Police arrested three inter-state drug smugglers and recovered 01 Kg of Heroin valuing Rs 1 Crore in International market along with cash Rs. 13 Lacs.
On 06.12.2018 police party from PS Gandhi Nagar established naka at Valmiki Chowk Gandhi Nagar for checking/ frisking of vehicles. When the police party was checking/ frisking the vehicles one Santro Car bearing Regd. No. PBO8CJ/6268 was also stopped for checking. The driver of the car during questioning disclosed his name as Sohail Ahmed Halwaie 5/o Late Gul Mohd R/o Bri juenaru Kashmir and on checking/ frisking 1 kg of Heroin were recovered from the possession of the driver of the car and his other two associates who during questioning disclosed their names as Aii Mohd e Ishaaq 5/o Abdul Ahad Dar R/o Karalpora District Kupwara, Kashmir and Pardeep Kumar 5/0 Hakam Rai R/o Rawatsar District Hanuman Garh, Rajasthan A/P Ramandeep Colony Mundia Kalan, Ludhiana. An amount of Rs. 13 Lacs in cash were also recovered from the possession of the said accused persons. Accordingly case FIR No. 278/2018 U/S 8/21/22/29 NW’S Act was registered at PS Gandhi Nagar and investigation started. The consiynment of Hericn as well as car used in the commission of crime was seized accordingly. It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested accused persons are notorious drug smugglers who used to bring Heroin from Kashmir and sell it to the youth of Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Punjab area’s.
The arrest and recovery has been made by Insp. Sunil Singh Jasrotia 51-10 P/5 Gandhi Nagar assisted by SI Sandeep Chauhan of PS Gandhi Nagar under the supervision of 5DPO City South Dr. Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, SP City South Shri Vinay Kumar and 55P Jammu Shri Vivek Gupta-IPS.
