High Court Bar Association Jammu holds protest rally

JAMMU, Feb 12:
Today, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, responding to the Call given by Bar Council of India and pursuant to the unanimous decision taken in the General House meeting held on Feb 11, 2019 took out a Protest Rally from J&K High Court Complex Janipur, Jammu to Hon’ble Governors’ House in support of the genuine demands put-forth by the Bar Council of India and that of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu under the Presidentship of Sh. B.S. Slathia, Sr. Advocate, for submission of the Memorandum to Hon’ble President of India & Hon’ble Prime Minister of India through His Excellency the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir State.
In order to take out a successful protest rally, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, today abstained from work in all the Courts including the Hon’ble High Court of J&K, Commissions & Tribunal etc While protesting, the lawyers raised slogans in support of the demands. Mr. Slathia, while addressing the protesting lawyers spoke in detail in support of the genuine demands put forth by the Bar Council of India as also the local demands of the Association.
Mr. Slathia along with protesting lawyers submitted Memorandum to the Hon’ble President of India & Hon’ble Prime Minister of India through His Excellency the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir State and urged for the fulfillment of the same.
Mr. Slathia appealed to all the members of the Legal Fraternity of the State to get united for any struggle in future, in case , the above mentioned genuine demands are not fulfilled.
The Bar Associations of all the District of Jammu province have also took out protest rallies in their respective Districts and submitted their Memorandum to the respective Deputy Commissioners in support of the demands of Bar Council of India for submission to the Hon’ble President of India & Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

C.M. Sharma, Ravinder Sharma, B.R. Chandan, Ajay Sharma, Sarfarz Rather, Pawan Manni, former Gen, Secy, Srishti Paul Mengi, Sandeep Singh, Rajesh Kotwal, Rupinder Singh, S.H. Ashrafi, Monish Chopra, Rohit Bhagat, Mohd Shabir, Vinod Bakshi, Ajay Abrol, Piyush Gupta, Suresh Chander Sharma, J.P.
