Part of the International Olympic Day celebrations across four districts of Poonch, Srinagar, Anantnag, Kathua and Jammu, the Hockey J&K organised friendly matches at K K Hakhu Stadium, here.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar was chief guest, who interacted with the teams and encouraged the winners with prizes.
In men’s games, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral defeated MBS Club Simbal 3-1 while in women’s section, KK Hockey Club outplayed Royals Hockey Club 1-0.
The visiting guest also felicitated Rajeev Sharma and Parvinder Singh Happy for their efforts to promote the game of Hockey in J&K, a handout issued by the Hockey J&K said.
