J&K Home Guard Association called upon the J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina to press upon their issues and requested him to personally intervene and make efforts for the early redressal at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
J&K Vice-President & former Minister Shakti Parihar, General Secretary & former Minister Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, former Minister & Headquarter Incharge Priya Sethi, All Morcha Incharge & former VC Munish Sharma, former MLA Dalip Parihar and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
Home guards deputation was led by Kamla Sharma alongwith Sandeep Kumar, Sobha Singh and others. The deputation of Home Guards demanded that the anomaly in their pay be removed keeping them at par with the other UTs and other regular forces and also impressed to take necessary steps to initiate concrete policy for the regularization of the home Guards, which were the chief demands among the host of demands put forth by the deputation in front of the BJP President. They requested the BJP President to look into their issues empathetically and make personal efforts to get them resolved at the earliest. Ravinder Raina listened to their demands patiently and ensured them that BJP has always stood with the genuine demands of everyone. While praising them for their dedication and their impressing upon their important role in the maintenance of law and order situation in addition to Police as well as their role in the other emergencies like natural calamities etc., he said that the Home Guards play an indispensable role and said that he will for sure take up their all matters at the appropriate forum at the earliest and will see that their issues get resolved at the earliest.
