Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sohanjana clinched both under-14 and under-17 titles in the inter-school district level competitions of Jammu, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), at Green Fields ground, here today. Earlier, in under-14 final, High School Sohanjana defeated New Public Brilliant High School Kotli Gala Bana 2-0. Semifinals: Government Girls HS Sohanjana beat New Gandhi Memorial HSS Miran Saheb 2-0; New Public Brilliant HS Kotli Gala Bana beat Unique Public HSS Gadi Garh 2-0. Similarly, in under-17 category, HS Sohanjana trounced Rainbow Public High School Miran Sahib 2-0 to claim the title. Semifinals: Government Girls High School Sohanjana beat New Public Brilliant HS Kotli Gala Bana 2-0; Rain Bow Public HS Miran Sahib beat Unique Public HSS Gadi Garh 2-0.
CRICKET: Gandhi Nagar Zone lifted the under-14 boys’ inter-zonal district level final outplaying Miran Sahib zone by nine wickets at Government High School Jammu Cantonment.
