JAMMU, April 27: Brilliant Century from Samad and Pranav Mahajan’s four-wicket haul today guided NCC to a big 124 runs win against Spartan Cricket Club in the ongoing Salute to Indian Forces Open Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Parade Sports Association (PSA) in collaboration with Lakshmi Cricket Club at Parade Ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, NCC set a target of 229 runs for one wicket. Samad hit a brilliant century contributing unbeaten 64-ball 120 runs while Pranav made 32-ball 48 not out. Vishawajeet added valuable 28 runs to the total. Imran took the only wicket lost by NCC.
In reply, Spartan bowled out for 124 runs, courtesy four wickets haul from Pranav Mahajan. Tanmay also bowled well taking away two wickets. Sahil (22), Arshad (14) and Imran (13) were top scorers from Spartan.
For his unbeaten century, Samad was adjudged man of the match. Ashok Singh and Jannu were umpires in today’s match while Amarjeet Singh maintained the scorecard.
