Come & debate with me, spirit of my father will never die, says daughter of Bindroo
Srinagar, Oct 6 :
Cutting across party lines, leaders of different political parties, besides large number of common people, on Wednesday attended last rites of famous chemist Makhan Lal Bindroo, who was killed by terrorists at his Iqbal Park shop last evening.
Meanwhile, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Mayor Junaid Azim Matto announced that road from Haft Chinar to Jehangir Chowk will be named “Shaheed Makhan Lal Bindroo road” as a tribute to his contribution to society.
Former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, Provincial president National Conference (NC) Jammu Devender Singh Rana, Apni Party (AP) president Altaf Bukhari, SMC Mayor Matto and other politicians visited the house of Bindroo and expressed their condolence.
However, large number of common people, belonging to all faiths and regions of the valley attended the last rites of Bindroo.

who killed famous chemist M L Bindroo on Tuesday evening in Srinagar to come and have debate with her, Dr Shraddha Bindroo said “they killed my father but will never kill his spirit which will remain alive for ever”.
“My father gave me education while all politicians gave you (terrorists) stones. They are using you”, she said.
Talking to reporters she said these politicians, without naming anyone, want you to use guns and stones. “If you have any education come and debate with me. Though I am a Kashmiri Hindu but I have read Holy Quran”, she said adding that as per teachings of the Quran only body will die while spirit will never die.
Dr Shraddha said “we have started from Zero and my father from a bicycle. Father made us very strong, I am an Associate Professor, my brother is a famous Dialectologist and my mother, a strong Kashmiri pandit woman who is running a chemist shop in Srinagar, that is what M L Bindroo made us” she said.
“You killed his body but his spirit will never die”, she said adding “you can pelt stone and open fire from behind to kill. Mr if you any guts and courage come to have face to face debate with me” she said to those who killed her father.
“My father died while serving people the people, with his boots on and there is not a single tear in my eyes as he made us very strong,” she said.
Dr Sidharth Bindroo, son of Bindroo said that his father was a man of principles who wanted to serve the people of Kashmir.

Still in disbelief and shock Dr Sidharth said he never expected the death of his father this way.

He said though his father was an ordinary chemist but through his dedication towards his work he had earned a reputable name in the valley.

“My father was a man of principles who was true to his profession”, Dr Bindroo said adding his father was very helpful to friendly to everyone.

“He was deeply connected emotionally with people of Kashmir and always encouraged to live in the valley,” Dr Bindroo said.
