Shani Jayanti was solemnized in Shri Shanidev Temple (a replica of Shri Shani Temple Shingnapur, Maharashtra) in the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Complex, Gandhi Nagar by the learned Shastris with full religious fervor and gaiety.
The function started with Rudrabhishek, by Shani Chalisa and Aarti in the morning by same type of Rudrabhishek, Ganesh Puja, Navagraha Puja, culminating with Shani Maharaj Katha in the evening.
Large number of devotees participated both in the morning as well in the evening. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and President of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust Gandhi Nagar, highlighted the Gravitational Power of Shri Shani Maharaj and threw the light on the whole story of the Shani Shingnapur Temple and the holy Shila brought from there and installed here by the renowned Pandits of Shingnapur itself after proper traditional Puja Archana.
All the Trustees/Special Invitees, besides large number of devotees participated and recited the Bhajan Kirtan during the day long celebrations to have blessings of Lord Shani. In the end, Prashad was distributed.
