jammu ,Dec 23:
IkkJutt Jammu strongly urges the patriotic and under-threat people of the Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts and also elsewhere in Jammu province to refuse to deposit weapons given to VDCs to defeat the enemies of the Nation. IkkJutt leader Prof Hari Om addressing media persons here today said: “It is shocking that the state government is asking some VDC members to return their weapons in a security situation which is fast deteriorating. The killings of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders Anil Parihar and Ajeet Parihar in Kishtwar by terrorists should have made the state government wiser to realize the gravity of the situation on the ground.” IkkJutt Jammu has asked the patriotic citizens living in terrorism-prone areas to resist any attempt to disarm the VDCs which have played a critical role in preventing religious cleansing of Hindus in these areas of Jammu Province. Prof. Hari Om further said, “It is high time for the government to realize the necessity to increase the number of VDCs in Jammu province and provide them more sophisticated weapons in place of the out-dated ones provided to them in the 1990s”. He added that there is an attempt to create 1990-like situation in Kishtwar-Doda-Ramban areas of Jammu province. “The Government attitude to disarm VDCs looks like a sinister mischief being unleashed to help the separatist and Paksitan cause,” he said.
IkkJutt Jammu has also decided to declare a “Kishtwar-Doda Chalo” march in case government doesn’t desist from issuing directives which weaken the fight against Islamist terrorism in Jammu province. Prof Hari Om insisted that patriotic people of Jammu have been witness to a state sponsored demographic change in other parts of Jammu and the decision to disarm VDCs may be aimed to facilitate the same subversive process. Prominent among others present were Ajaat Jamwal, Ashwani Sharma, Anil Padha, OP Sharma, Chandan Sharma, Advocate and Vinod Sharma.
