IkkJutt Jammu appeals to all patriotic citizens to stand as one people behind the Hindus and other minorities of Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Ramban and Doda who are facing an organised onslaught at the hands of Islamic Fundamentalist Forces. IkkJutt Jammu extends its unflinching support to Sanatana Dharma Sabha Kishtwar for its Kishtwar Bandh call.
IkkJutt Jammu is fully aware that the attrition unleashed on the Hindus of this area is only increasing with each day. It is shocking that the state BJP which had 4 MLAs and 1 M.P from the region are taking the situation very lightly which has only spread a wave of demoralisation around.
Islamic Jihad is not a new thing for this area. Right since independence, waves of Islamic Jihad have tried to destroy the communal amity in this area and scare away Hindus, Sikhs and other minorities. We have seen an organised campaign of religious cleansing in this area which was substantially arrested by the un-paralleled resistance of the Hindus of this area. Resurrection of Jihadi warfare in Doda, Bhaderwah, Ramban and Kishtwar areas at an accelerated pace and failure of the state apparatus to acknowledge it as a Jihadi war is troublesome and intriguing.
In the present times, the demoralisation of the people who have been offering resistance to Islamic Fundamentalism and Jihad is a matter of great concern. The perception that National political parties are taking matters of paramount importance particularly the increased threat to the life dignity and property of Hindus and other minorities living in this areas lightly is hurting the national interest in this strategic area, which has to be prevented at all costs. IkkJutt Jammu assures the Hindus and other minorities living in this area full support of the entire patriotic population living in Jammu Province. There is a Jihadi War going on in that area. Hiding it or trivialising it will damage the Nation’s interests and we will not allow it to happen. We will not hesitate to give a call for entire Jammu to march to the vulnerable areas and express solidarity with the people living there, who are resisting the Islamist onslaughts with full might and holding their own. We appreciate the role played by the organisations like Sanatan Dharma Sabha Kishtwar despite the fact that political parties in Jammu province are yet to register the gravity of the situation in Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Ramban and Doda.
Condemning the attack on Hindu shops, vehicles, auto-rickshaws, tourists and an attempt to vandalise the ancient Laxmi Narayan Temple at Bhaderwah today Ankur Sharma said, “IkkJutt Jammu is aware not only about the radicalisation and militarisation of the Muslim social milieu in this area, but also of the spread of ISIS type ideology in this area. We are baffled why mainstream political parties are even reluctant to protest peacefully against the developments in this area.
It is time for the Government of India to not only increase the number of VDCs in the entire Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Ramban belt but, also to equip them with sophisticated weapons so that they could defeat the evil game plan of the Jihadis, who have been trying to cause Hindu migration from the areas since 1990.
IkkJutt Jammu wants people to understand the ramifications of a Jihadi War in Jammu province and also be aware about the support which Jihadi forces are getting from segments of political class and administration. A United battle against Jihad will only save Jammu and IkkJutt Jammu is committed to fight it at all costs and defeat it.
