External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with visiting Australian Foreign Secretary Jan Adams, as India and Australia held the 2+2 Secretary-level Consultations in New Delhi today.
EAM said in a post on X that the bilateral exchanges and conversations befits our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership:
“Pleased to receive Australian @dfat Secretary Jan Adams today in New Delhi.
“The exchanges and conversations between us befits our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.”
Separately, the Australian Defence Secretary Greg Moriarty met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who said in a post that he is looking forward to strengthen the bilateral defence cooperation.
The two Australian top officials were in Delhi for the 2+2 Secretary Level Consultations with their Indian counterparts – Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane.
The Ministry of Defence said in a post on X:
“India-Australia 2+2 Secretary-level Consultations took place in New Delhi today. Co-chaired by Defence Secretary Shri @giridhararamane, Foreign Secretary Shri @VikramMisri, Secretary (Department of Defence), Mr Greg Moriarty & Secretary (Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade) Ms Jan Adams from Australia, the talks were to consolidate the ties between the two countries and also benefit the whole Indo-Pacific region.”
