JAMMU, Aug 11
India today reached the final of the 3rd Asian Men’s Under-23 Volleyball Championship outplaying Pakistan in the semifinals played at Myanmar.
As per the reports reaching here, India made it a 3-1 (21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-18) victory against Pakistan.
Earlier, in the league round, India defeated Kazakhstan 3-0, lost to Japan 2-3 and China 3-1. In the quarterfinals, Indian skippers trounced Austraila 3-1 and today trounced Pakistan 3-1 to qualify for the final.
Now, in the final, Indian shall be playing against Chinese Taipei.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Volleyball Association J&K (VAJK), Kuldeep Magotra congratulated the team India for making it to the final.
Magotra all praise for young Saqlain Tariq of Poonch, an international spiker, who is part of the team.
