Indian Army has organised a ‘Kho-Kho Competition’ as part of sports initiatives, for the youth of Banna village on 11 Jul 24. The aim of conducting the Kho-Kho Competition for youth was to inculcate sportsman spirit, impart knowledge regarding importance of physical fitness amongst the youth and explore the hidden talent of the youth of far flung border area villages, besides the overall objective to motivate the youth. Players of different villages participated in the championship with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The competition was conducted at Banna, and was witnessed with enthusiasm by spectators from Banna and adjoining villages. Prizes were awarded to the winners and runners up by the chief guest who also congratulated all the participants for participating in the event to showcase their talent.
The event organised by the Army once again strengthened its pledge to continue the commitment of Indian Army in facilitating the amalgamation of youth of remote villages with the mainstream populace. Conduct of such competitions is a praise worthy effort and has been acknowledged by the villagers and all the other beneficiaries.
