Continuing its steadfast commitment to youth empowerment, sports promotion and community engagement, the Indian Army organized a grand Inter-Panchayat Volleyball Tournament at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Ukhral. The event not only showcased the sporting talent of the region but also brought together villagers, students and sports enthusiasts in a vibrant atmosphere of energy, unity and celebration. A total of 12 spirited teams from different Panchayats of Ukhral and adjoining areas competed with remarkable zeal and determination. The ground reverberated with cheers, drumbeats and applause as players displayed outstanding skill, teamwork and resilience in their pursuit of victory. The final match turned into a thrilling contest, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats. With an electrifying performance, the Champion Team lifted the trophy and received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, while the Runners-up Team showcased commendable grit and were awarded Rs. 10,000. Both awards were presented by the Indian Army, making the occasion even more memorable for the young athletes. Indian Army officials, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the importance of sports in building fitness, discipline, leadership and camaraderie. They also emphasized how such tournaments provide youth with a positive platform to harness their potential, stay motivated and contribute to society with a spirit of pride and responsibility. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 spectators, including students, teachers, Panchayat representatives and local residents, who hailed the Indian Army’s initiative. Community leaders expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for consistently fostering opportunities for youth engagement and social harmony in the region. Beyond competition, the tournament symbolized unity, brotherhood and the indomitable spirit of the youth of Pogal & Paristan, proving that sports can serve as a bridge to stronger communities and brighter futures. Through such initiatives, the Indian Army continues to nurture local talent, strengthen its bond with the people and encourage youth to walk the path of discipline, teamwork and nation-building.
