Indian Army organised an Inter School Drawing & Debate Competition at Lam, district Rajouri with an aim to foster a spirit of healthy competition, encourage academic excellence and promote knowledge sharing among students. A total of 176 Students from five schools participated in Drawing and Debate Competition. Students from Lam, Darhal, Larok, Bhowani & Guni Government Higher Secondary Schools, participated in the competition. Both competitions were conducted in three categories, 1st to 5th class, 6th to 10th class and 11th & 12th class. The students from each school, who had been preparing rigorously for weeks, displayed utmost enthusiasm and zeal while participating in the event. All participants displayed their artistic skills on various themes, in the drawing competition & also showcased creativity and imagination through their artwork. During the debate competition students engaged in thought-provoking discussions on six topics on the theme “Environmental and natural aesthetics and its protection”. The debate tested their oratory skills, critical thinking and argumentative skills with each team presenting and defending their stance.
