The School of Philosophy & Culture (SoPC) at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University organised a panel discussion to celebrate the Indian Constitution Day which was declared by the Government of India in 2015 to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Ambedkar, who had chaired the drafting committee of the Constituent Assembly and played a pivotal role in the drafting of the constitution. Dr. Anil K. Tewari, Head, SoPC, discussed the significance of the day and further elaborated that on this day Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India partially and the whole constitution came into effect from 26th January 1950. Moreover, on this date, all the relevant clauses required for holding elections etc. constitutionally were activated. Among the panelists were Mr. Sumanta Sarathi Sharma and Dr. Madhu Mangal Chaturvedi, Assistant Professors from SoPC, Dr. Anurag Kumar and Ms. Isha Malhotra, Assistant Professors, School of Languages and Literature; Dr. Arti Maini and Dr. Rashi Taggar, Assistant Professors, School of Business. The panel discussion was also attended by post-doctoral and doctoral students of different Schools.
