JAMMU, JANUARY 24: Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu celebrated National Girl Child Day under BetiBachaoBetiPadhao Week by organising painting competition and self defence training on the theme “Empowering Girls For Better Tomorrow”.
The participating students evinced great enthusiasm and exhibited their talent. Students were also imparted self defence training by Deepa Sharma and. Deepika Chauhan – J&K Karate trainers.
Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal- Executive Secretary District Red Cross Society Jammu spoke on Girl Empowerment and also threw light on different aspects of Red Cross Society.
Special invitees, O P Gupta and R Vijay Mangotra also spoke on Girls Empowerment and appealed to students to come forward and join hands with the Society.
Medals were presented to first three winners of the competition. Jamwal thanked Principal GGHSS Rehari and Principal GGHSS Mubarak Mandi Jammu and their staff for their co- operation.
