Jammu, Sept 27:
Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Congress’ Lok Sabha candidate from Ludhiana on Friday vehemently criticised both the Prime Minister and the LG Administration for their failure to “focus on progressive schemes and instead engaging in divisive and frivolous activities” in J&K. Raja Warring stated this while addressing huge public gathering in Nai Basti area organized in favour of Congress candidate from RS Pura Jammu South constituency Raman Bhalla. Speaking on the occasion, Raja Warring alleged inflation and unemployment were rising in the country due to the wrong policies of the BJP-led Centre. He hit out at the Modi government, saying prices of all essential commodities have skyrocketed while unemployment too had risen. He said BJP has pushed the Jammu and Kashmir into unprecedented political uncertainty by failing to maintain law and order and indulging in politics of hate. He promised the gathering that issues of PoJK Refugees and smart meters will be highlighted by him in Parliament and appealed gathering to ensure victory of Raman Bhalla with huge margins. “BJP ever since getting access to power in Delhi had been on a rampage of dispossessing and disempowering common people of Jammu and Kashmir. It’s not about a particular community or a sect, they have went berserk against all of us collectively. We have been used as political cannon fodders by BJP all across the country”, Raja Warring said. He said people want change, as the BJP has failed on all fronts of governance especially unchecked price rise, record unemployment besides other anti-employees, anti-trade, anti-poor politics in J&K.”
The people of Jammu and Kashmir have only one option to fight this monster of hate and discrimination, that option is the Indian National Congress, the only party which hasn’t and which will never cozy with BJP,” he said. He said that people of all sections are completely fed up with the BJP, as there is uncontrolled price rise, record unemployment in J&K. ” Having failed to give employment to highest number of educated unemployed youth, the Centre and UT Administration is beating about bushes and finding faults in the past Govts”, he said. Stating that Congress Party is ready to face the challenges and defeat the falsehood of BJP and its offshoots, Raja Warring slammed the Central government for doing misleading politics in order to hide its failure on all fronts. He described Congress as an instrument of service to the people, which has represented their urges and aspirations, in true sense, it will continue to work for their wellbeing and inclusive development of Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged the workers to get united to fight against the divisive and wrong policies of BJP Govt, which is responsible for the J&K situation. It is ironical that BJP inorder to hide its failure on governance and other fronts deliberately delayed elections to happen aiming to hide its real face and failures.
Warring criticised PM Modi for his tactics, saying, “Modi’s political strategy revolves around exploiting religious sentiments, banking on issues like the Ram Mandir and Mangalsutra to divert attention from critical concerns such as unemployment, agricultural distress, inflation, education, and healthcare. The tragic loss of over 700 farmers during the farmers protest against the black farm laws remains unacknowledged, as does the suffering inflicted during the hasty demonetisation process, for which no apology has been offered.”Warring called on people to teach BJP a lesson for their vile attitude towards J&K .”People will not get divided on religious lines, BJP will face defeat .
JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla speaking on the occasion slammed the BJP-led central government, saying its hollow policies have resulted in increasing the sufferings of the people. He criticized the BJP for hoodwinking public opinion by raking up residuary and emotive issues to divert the attention from its failures on all fronts. Bhalla said that BJP has nothing to offer to the people and therefore it had been shying away from focussing on the core issues. Bhalla reminded the BJP of the massive 2014 Jammu mandate for development and welfare and said that instead of doing a little bit in this regard they pushed the entire region to the wall. The developmental machinery came to a grinding halt and the utility services suffered major jolt due to the self-centred approach of the BJP leaders.
BJP has not understood the idea of Jammu and Kashmir”, Bhalla said while decrying the dubious tactics being employed to hoodwink public opinion. He referred to the bogies being created by the party and said this has neither worked in the past nor will create any magic for BJP in future. He said the ongoing polls will send a terse message to the BJP for pursuing the politics of deceit and hate that has caused enormous damage to the secular fabric of this land of Sufis and Saints.Bhalla castigated BJP for indulging in rhetoric and playing unethical politics by scheming against the overall interests of people. JKPCC Working President hoped the people have not forgotten the BJP duplicity while expressing confidence that they will put their decisive decision on the day of reckoning. He anticipated a big win for the Congress candidates. Terming the ruling BJP in Jammu and Kashmir a “zero performance government”, he said that the BJP-led regime had failed completely on all fronts due to its lack of experience to run the govt.Senior Congress leader claimed that all sections of society were suffering under BJP rule as promises made to them have turned out to be hollow.
Lashing out at BJP, Bhalla said that selection lists issued during BJP rule are totally biased as only 10 percent jobs have been provided to Jammu youth. BJP has become mute spectator on discrimination. He said that the general public including traders, businessmen, farmers, unemployed, families of the martyrs, border residents besides daily wagers, casual workers, contractual lecturers, etc had been bearing the brunt of the discrimination in all spheres.J&K is going through turbulent times under this Govt,” Bhall said.
Bhalla alleged that the present BJP Government is direction less due to absence of any public welfare in their respective agenda. This Government has only given rise to a situation of uncertainty, chaos and confusion, he said. He said the state was passing through the “worst ever misrule. Lashing out at BJP, he said, “Before the parliamentary elections, they had assured the people that if the BJP came to power, truckloads of financial help would be brought to J&K to make it prosperous, but instead of getting more financial assistance, the NDA government has broken backbone of common man with its anti-people policies. He said that it is an irony that the despite the BJP Govt having failed miserably on all fronts, the Party is misleading the nation and its people by celebrating the same .He said the BJP must conduct a fair introspection of its Government’s functioning and draw an unbiased conclusion. He asserted that a fair conclusion clearly shows that BJP Govt has achieved unprecedented success in creating a communal divide and spreading hatred across the nation. He said that the people have now understood the BJP’s game plan and they are waiting to teach it a lesson in Assembly elections.
