JAMMU, Oct 21:
Army Public School, Akhnoor had organised Inter School Jammu Sahodaya Basketball Tournament at MAM stadium Jammu. Overall 13 teams have participated in the tournament, APS Akhnoor, Tiny Scholars, Rich Harvest School, Model Academy, M.V International School, Stephens International, APS B.D Bari, APS Jammu Cantt, APS Ratnuchak, K.C International, APS Damana, Air Force School and Heritage School. The tournament was declared open by Brig Harcharan Singh President Zila Sainik Welfare along with the guests of honour Mr T.P Singh AGM, J & K Bank, Mr Pramod Shrivastava (MIER) and Mr Amit Pathania (JKPS Kathua).
Semi-finals were played between Model Academy V/s APS Akhnoor and Air Force School V/s APS Jammu Cantt. After that final match was played between APS Akhnoor and Air Force School. Ist position was bagged by Air Force School. 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions were bagged by APS Akhnoor, APS Jammu Cantt and Model Academy respectively.
Certificates of Merit and Medals were presented to the winners by Mr KCS Mehta, Principal APS Akhnoor, Mr Rakesh Chander, Vice Principal, APS Akhnoor , Surjeet Singh (Social Worker) and Mrs Neena (an educationist.).
