In the series of effort to encourage sporting culture among the people of hilly area “Inter Zonal and Interstate wrestling competition” was conducted at Bagansal, Rajouri. The competition was aimed to provide a platform for wrestlers to showcase their skills. The event saw participation of 69 wrestlers. Apart from military personnel, other dignitaries present included Sarpanch and locals. The audience played a vital role in making the event a resounding success of the competition. Their enthusiasm, support and sportsmanship added to the excitement and energy of the competition. The closing ceremony saw the distribution of prizes and medals of the winners. The chief guest and dignitaries congratulated the winners and praised the participants for their display of skill and sportsmanship. It is part of a series of initiatives through which the Indian Army is coming forward to positively engage the youth while creating a positive perspective by encouraging the youth to channelize their energies in a constructive manner towards Nation building.
