POONCH, Apr 17:
Organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), the inter-zone district level football tournament under Khelo India got underway at Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Poonch and BHSS Mendhar, here today.
The competition in being held in two age groups of 6-12 yeas and 16 years under the guidance eof technical penal. Earlier, the competition declared open by Principal BHSS Poonch, Sudershan Kumar Sharma, who was chief guest. Among others present were Harcharan Singh (Vice Pricipal), Mohd Qasim, Surinder Singh, Jasbir Kour, Mohd Hanif (all ZPEOs), Barak Hussain, Sunil Kumar, Nazir Hussain, Berta Devi, Narinder Singh, Mohd Tariq, Narinder Singh, Bacitar Singh, Jasmeet Kour Davinder Singh Gurvinder Singh, Sarlarani.
In today’s scheduled matches of under-16 category, Poonch zone beat Surankote 4-0 and Bangalore outplayed Sathra 3-1 as also Mandi zone bt Buffliaz zone 2-0. Similarly, in 6-12 year age group, Kanuyain beat Nangali 4-0; Surankote beat Mandi zone 3-0 and Bufflaiz beat Sathra 5-0.
The matches officiated by the technical penal including Mohinder Bali, Tarlochan Singh, Rajinder Singh, Gurvinder Singh, Davinder Singh and Mohd Arif.
