To acquaint dealers and traders with the intra-state e-way bill system, which is introduced in J&K from Today, Commercial Taxes Department today held a workshop and training session. Workshop and Training session was attended by the memnbers of Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market Jammu. The training is provided by Raj Kumar, Commercial Taxes Officer Circle D, Jammu at Conference Hall Excise and Taxation Complex Jammu.
Raj Kumar gave the presentation and the e-way bill was generated online on the test site. All queries were also answered on the spot.
Addressing the dealers, Kumar said as the GST itself was new to all, the new e-way bill system is just introduced for intra-state trade.
He said the e-way bill had to be generated for value over Rs 50,000 for every intra-state transaction from Today. A sufficient time of 24 hours for every 100 km would be valid for the e-way bill. There would be no need for the e-way bill within the 10-km area, and if the goods were being moved in a non-motorised vehicle.
