IRP 14th Bn. Organizes a Cultural Show/Competition under Civic Action Programme today in Police Auditorium Gulshan Ground Jammmu. Inspector General of Police AP/IRP Danesh Rana-IPS was the Chief Guest on this Occasion. Five Schools Viz:Bal Bharti School (Branch of Balgram) Channi Rama,Viraj Bal Bhawan, Khanpur Nagrota, Buds and Blossom, Trikuta nagar Jammu,Dhoon Kids,Vidhata Nagar Bathindi and A+ Dance Academy Trikuta Nagar Jammu besides some well acclaimed local artists participated in the function.
The function was organized with an aim to promote the local as well as national culture and to tap the potential that our budding generation is enriched with. The show began with Saraswati Vandana that followed mind blowing and enthralling presentations by the students. These included songs, solo as well as group dances, skits and mimicry. All participants were given track suits by the Chief Guest who also encouraged them by awarding medals. Trophies, PA system, musical instruments and cash assistance of Rs 5000/= each was given to the participating schools. The participating students and teachers were served with refreshment.
Speaking on the Occasion the Chief Guest dwelt at length on the importance of cultural activities and sports in the educational institutes and threw light on the need to promote the legacy of better understanding that our nation has been nurturing since long. He was of the opinion that such programmes should be a regular feature as these help us identify the talent and to boost it for betterment. He thanked the Commandant for inviting him to such a well conceived and masterly organized function.
Commandant IRP 14 Bn. Manohar Singh-SSP welcomed the Chief Guest and participants for sparing their valuable time to be a part of the function. Inspector D.K. Bhardawaj proposed the vote of thanks. Others present on the occasion included Sukhdev Raj-SSP, Dy.Commandant,Subash Chander-DySP, Harvinder Singh-DYSP.
