JAMMU, JUNE 20 –
Joint Action Committee (JAC) J&K (Gen. Catagory), JKGCWF, Arak hshan Virodhi Manch jointly held a protest here on Wednesday against circular issued by central government asking states to implement reservations in promotions. Ved Prakash, Convener of JAC strongly condemned the action of Modi government as it was illegal and unconstitutional to grant reservation in promotions without following laid down law.
Further he said that general category people stand united on this issue in support of the general masses all over the country. It is pertinent to mention that the orders of Supreme Court have been misrepresented and soon this illegal circular shall get quashed by the Hon’ble court.
Further Madan Lal Narad of AVM informed that Hon’ble High Court of Jammuand Kashmir in its landmark judgment dated 9.10.2015 in the case titled Ashok Kumar Sharma VS State had quashed the reservation in promotion rules.Similar protes was also held at Poonch headed by Salim Bandey.
