Ever since Katrina Kaifannounced her exit from Remo D’Souza’s ambitious 4D dance film, tentatively titled Street Dancer, speculations have been rife about who could step into her shoes. The film goes on floors at the end of this month and the makers are working hard to finalise their new leading lady ASAP.
While Shraddha Kapoor’s name has popped up as one of the key contenders for the role, hearsay is that there’s another leading lady in the running. Buzz is that Jacqueline Fernandezis also gunning for the part. According to an industry source, the actress had a closed-door meeting with Remo and his team a few days before Katrina announced her exit from the film. Also, Kirik Party’s remake has also been put on to the backburner, which has now sparked speculations that she is possibly the one stepping into Katrina’s shoes in the dance film.
While talking to Bombay Times, Remo was non-committal about who the new heroine for the film could be. He had said that a name would be announced soon. While Shraddha and Jacqueline’s dancing skills have already been tried and tested in quite a few films in the past, it will be interesting to see which one of them bags the role opposite Varun Dhawan.
