JAMMU, Oct 23:
District Jammu today qualified for the finals of both boys and girls in the ongoing 30th State Junior Volleyball Championship, organized by Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK) at Polo ground, Srinagar today.
Now, in the final, slated for tomorrow, Jammu boys shall take on Baramulla while girls shall be playing against district Udhampur.
In the semi finals, Jammu boys outplayed their counterparts from Poonch while girls from Jammu downed district Ganderbal.
In the semifinals, Inspector General of Police (Traffic), Basant Rath was chief guest, who interacted with the teams and witnessed the games along with other visiting guests, Divisional Sports Officer of J&K State Sports Council, Nuzrat Ara and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of VAJK, Kuldip Magotra as also general secretary, V K Magotra.
Treasurer of the Association, Executive Member, Mohd Tariq and president Srinagar District Association, Amir Bhat and secretary, Qaiser Iqbal were also present.
