JAMMU, Sept 30:
Jammu district in boys section and Ramban district in girls category emerged winners of the inter-district divisional level Tug of War Tournament held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), here today.
The events were hosted by the district Ramban at Youth Hostel Nagrota Complex. In the boys’ final, Jammu defeated district Ramban 2-1. In the earlier, matches, Jammu beat Udhampur 2-0 and Ramban trounced Udhampur 2-0 while Jammu outplayed Ramban 2-1.
Similarly, in girls section, Ramban trounced Jammu district 2-1. In the preliminary league round, Jammu beat Ramban 2-0; Ramban beat Udhampur 2-0 and Jammu beat Udhampur 2-1.
Meanwhile, the under-14 girls title went to district Rajaouri who beat Samba by six points. The girls under-17 final again won by district Rajouri outplayed district Jammu by four points.
Earlier, the competition declared open by district officer (DYSS) Ramban, Sukhdev Raj Sharma in the presence of those officials and contingent incharge form participating districts.
KABADDI: The girls under-19 Kabaddi title bagged by district Jammu beating district Reasi by a margin of five points.
The competition officiated by the technical penal including Ravinder singh, Hardev Singh, Jaswinder Kour, Amandeep Kour, Amolak Singh and Sandeep Singh.
