The Jammu Joint Students Federation (JJSF) announced the formation of its Government MAM College Unit on Tuesday, marking a significant step in empowering students and strengthening their representation. The announcement was made by Keshav Malhotra, District President of JJSF, in the presence of several prominent student leaders and dignitaries.The newly appointed unit is led by Akash Saini as President, with Arun Chahal as Working President and Dawood as Senior Vice President. The team includes Vice Presidents Deepak Sharma, Abhay Khullar, Taiyab Malik, and Garav Salaria, while Aneesh has been appointed as General Secretary. The Secretaries are Smarty, Mukesh Sharma, and Arman Ali, with Surya taking on the role of Joint Secretary. Nitish Manhas has been designated as Organization Secretary, Vikram Jeet as Press Secretary, Arjun as Spokesperson, and Cansh Raina as Cashier. Additionally, Arjun will also serve as the Publicity/Social Media Secretary.Keshav Malhotra, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the need for a one-time age relaxation in all recruitment processes in Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting that critical years of students and youth were lost due to COVID-19, the reorganization of J&K, paper scams, and halted recruitment drives. He demanded a special recruitment package from the Central Government and advocated for 100% reservation for J&K residents in private-sector jobs, including power projects, road construction, and tunnel projects. He stressed that these measures are vital for addressing unemployment in the region.He said, “The formation of the MAM College Unit is a step towards ensuring that the voices of students are heard and their issues addressed effectively. This team is a reflection of our commitment to leadership development and student empowerment.”
Newly-appointed President Akash Saini expressed his gratitude and commitment to the role. He stated, “I am honored to take on this responsibility. Together with my team, I will work tirelessly to address the concerns of students and uphold the values of the JJSF. Our aim is to create a platform that ensures academic growth, cultural enrichment, and student welfare.”Keshav Malhotra was accompanied by several senior leaders, including Manish Khulkar (President, All Colleges), Raghav Singh (District General Secretary), Parvaiz Choudhary, Arif Malik, Mayank Choudhary, Balram, Tushar Verma, and Eklavya Salathia (President, SPMR College of Commerce).
