The people of Jammu region will never forgive the National Conference and Congress for their decades of bias and neglect.
This was asserted by Arvind Gupta, MLA Jammu West after launching development initiatives in Wards No. 13, 29, and 31 of West constituency. These development works will be completed with an estimated costs of Rs 57 lakh aiming to address long-standing infrastructure needs, including drainage upgrades, road improvements, and enhancements to public facilities, delivering essential amenities to the residents of these areas.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Gupta highlighted the years of injustice faced by people of Jammu region under previous NC-Congress administrations, pointing out that their policies consistently marginalized the region and stunted its progress. “For over 60 years, NC and Congress turned a blind eye to the aspirations of the people of Jammu, focusing on the Kashmir Province while ignoring the rightful demands of Jammu’s citizens. Since 2014, the BJP Govt, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre, has reversed this history of discrimination with a vision of balanced, inclusive growth for all,”* he said.
The senior BJP leader praised the Modi Government’s historic decision to abrogate Article 370 as a watershed moment that brought equality and dignity to every resident of Jammu & Kashmir. “The abrogation of Article 370 was not merely a policy change; it was justice delivered. For the first time, several communities like Gorkhas, Safaikaramcharis, refugees and others enjoys the same rights, opportunities, and resources as the rest of India. This is the BJP’s commitment to true equality and development without bias,” he emphasized.
Later, Arvind Gupta interacted with local residents to discuss their concerns and gather feedback on community needs. Many attendees shared their enthusiasm, noting that such projects demonstrate the BJP’s commitment to real and transformative change.
Arvind Gupta reaffirmed his pledge to work tirelessly for his constituency, assuring residents that the BJP’s vision of growth, fairness, and prosperity for all is well underway in Jammu.
